On 4th June, CAUP International Cooperation Office and Chinese students from CAUP International Department of Student Union organized an event to welcome the the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu festival, at Building D-502. More than 20 international students from over 10 countries were in attendance. Ms. DONG Bijing from CAUP International Cooperation Office hosted the activity.

      Students from INTL introduced the origin, traditions and tales of this famous Chinese fest to international students. They then tasted the Zong Zi together, a kind of rice dumpling for celebrating the Duanwu Festival, read poems related to this day and learned the Chinese calligraphy.

      The dumpling festival created an amazing opportunity for international students to discover the history of Dragon Boat Festival and have a dip of Chinese culture.
