Founded in the 1980s, Architecture Asia (quarterly) as the official journal of Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA), is an internationally authoritative journal focusing on the development of Asian architecture at both academic and practical levels.
At the end of 2019, the Architectural Society of China and Tongji University were designated as co-publishers undertaking the journal’s publication work instead of the Malaysia Institute of Architects. WU Jiang, the past vice-president of ARCASIA and professor of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, is the editor-in-chief. LI Xianging, the dean and professor of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, is the vice editor-in-chief. The managing editor is associate professor ZHOU Minghao. The executive editor is assistant professor WANG Yanze. Architecture Asia ushered in a comprehensive revision and concentrated on the sustainable development of contemporary Asian architecture and cities. The journal aims to provide a forum not only for presenting Asian phenomena and their characteristics to the world but also for understanding diversity and multiculturalism within Asia from a global perspective. From 2021, Architecture Asia cooperates with The Image Publishing Group for international publication and distribution.
