Biography

  • Hok-Lin Leung was born in Hong Kong, now is the professor at the Urban planning department of  Queen’s University, Canada.

  • Dr Hok-Lin Leung is an architect-planner.He is the author of Towards a Subjective Approach to Policy Planning and Evaluation (1985), Land Use Planning Made Plain (1989, and 2nd edition, 1999), and City Images: An Internal View (1992).He also has articles and monographs on redistribution of land value increases, developer behaviour, urban design, housing for the elderly, residential density standards.He is currently working on environmental infrastructure planning and the transfer of planning know-hows to China.

  • He is the co-founder of the National Executive Forum on Public Property, at Queen's.Founded in 1998, the Forum's mission is 'to promote the development and sharing of knowledge and techniques for managing public property, by providing a neutral venue and a collegial environment for networking by senior executives responsible for the management of public property at all levels of government across Canada.' It now has 19 sponsors from all three levels of government across Canada.

  • He is the founder (2003) and Convenor of the Ambassadors' Forum.
