The Exchange Programs of Tongji University accept only international students nominated by our partner universities. Students interested in exchange to TJU should check with your home university to see if there's any student exchange program agreement with us.

Application Procedures:

1.  Coordinators of partner universities send the Nomination List.xlsx to zijingwang@tongji.edu.cn

Nomination Deadline for Fall semester: May 10^th.

Nomination Deadline for Spring semester: November 10^th.

2.  Nominated students submit the online application on our portal: https://study-info.tongji.edu.cn/.

Application Deadline for Fall semester: May 15^th.

Application Deadline for Spring semester: November 15^th.

** If you receive an autoreply regarding paying application fee, please ignore it, application fee and study fee are waived for exchange students.

3.  Nominated students combine the following documents as ONE PDF and send it to zijingwang@tongji.edu.cn

a.  Nomination of your home university

b.  Application Form generated by our application portal

c.  Passport's information Page

d.  Master students have to provide the copy of Bachelor's Degree Certificate

e.  Study Plan

f.   Latest version of transcript from home university

Admission and Registration:

1.  Admission decision will be released around July/January.

2.  A valid student visa (X1 or X2) is mandatory to enter China, please refer to the local Chinese Embassy or Consulate General for visa information. 

3.  Registration is mandatory for all incoming exchange students, any visa issues due to the early entry into China prior to the registration dates shall be bound by students themselves.
