On the afternoon of September 21, the exhibition “Consolidate and Innovate” — Teaching and Practice Exhibition of A8: Urban Large-Scale Public Facility Research and Design Group, together with the UIA Sports and Leisure Work Programme Annual Exchange Event, was held at Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co., Ltd. The event was academically supported by the Sports and Leisure Working Group of International Union of Architects (UIA), China Sport Science Society, and the Institute of Sports Architecture-ASC, hosted by A8: Urban Large-Scale Public Facility Research and Design Group, College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, and supported by the journal Perspectives in Architecture and Urbanism as media partner. The exchange event comprised multiple components, including the exhibition “Consolidate and Innovate” — Teaching and Practice Exhibition of A8: Urban Large-Scale Public Facility Research and Design Group, a special lecture by Dr. René Kural, Director of the UIA Sports and Leisure Work Programme, titled “New Activities · New Forms — From Experience to the Future,” and an academic dialogue between Dr. René Kural and Professor Qian Feng, National Engineering Survey and Design Master. The event aimed to explore development trends of urban large-scale public facilities through multidimensional dialogue among teaching, research, and practice, and to amplify the voice of outstanding construction achievements in China’s urban large-scale public facilities.
