On September 28, the 2026 UNESCO Creative Cities Design Forum was held in Shanghai. The practice Evidence-based Human-AI Collaborative Architectural Design Education submitted by the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, was selected as an outstanding practice case in UNESCO's Call for Good Practice Cases: When AI Meets Design, and was awarded a certificate of honor on site.

The 2026 UNESCO Creative Cities Design Forum is one of the important thematic events of the 2026 World Design Capital Conference. With the theme of When AI Meets Design: Challenge and Practice, this year's forum facilitated exchanges on cultural creativity, urban development, and design practice in the context of the integration of artificial intelligence and design, and explored the application and development of artificial intelligence technologies in related fields.
