Hosted by Tongji University CAUP, IACP and WUPEN, the AI4CITIES-3 International Conference & Summer Workshop is officially open for global recruitment. The event will run from July 15 to 20, 2026, with all core sessions held at Tongji University and Shanghai Fuxing Island Future City Innovation Pilot Zone.
A Unique Urban Lab on Fuxing Island
Nestled in Yangpu District, Fuxing Island blends precious industrial heritage, rich ecological landscapes and open public spaces. Transformed from a historic industrial base into a cutting-edge innovation hub, the island provides a real-world urban laboratory for participants. Fully equipped with conference halls, discussion spaces, exhibition areas and complete living facilities, it creates an ideal environment for immersive learning, communication and creation.

The workshop brings together world-renowned experts across urban planning, architecture and AI technology. The distinguished faculty includes Academician Wu Zhiqiang, Professor Philip F. Focusing on AI-driven urban design, spatial governance and sustainable development, the programme supports interdisciplinary international communication.



Two Rounds of Application
• First Round (Priority Application): Closing on May 31, 2026 (Beijing Time). Results will be announced by June 15. • Second Round (Rolling Application): June 1 – June 15, 2026. Results will be announced by June 25.
Applicants can submit applications via either Google Form or Wenjuanxing Form (no duplicate submission).
