ENSAS specializes in undergraduate and graduate education in architecture. It excels in developing student skills in the design of high quality and long-term sustainable architectural and urban projects, respecting human, cultural, technical, environmental and economic factors. 

STRASBOURG SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE

Our school is one of twenty architecture schools under the Ministry of Culture and Communication. It is positioned in the metropolitan region of the Upper Rhine, a tri-national area of 5 million people. It is the only french School of Architecture associated with a university (University of Strasbourg). Each year, our school forms more than 800 students. More than 200 teachers supported by administrative and technical team of thirty people contribute to training. Since its inception in 1921 our school graduated 2647 architects.

Strasbourga land for studying 

The entire city centre of Strasbourg is listed as a world heritage Site by UNESCO and it is cited as one of the top ten tourist destinations in the world by the Lonely Planet guidebook. As the headquarters of the council of europe since 1949, the city is also home to the headquarters of the European Court of Human Rights and the European Parliament. 

Strasbourg has a pioneering approach to environmental issues and is an extremely agreeable place to live thanks to its tram network—the largest and most comprehensive network in France—and its 500 km of bike lanes.

Since 2012 the enSAS has had a partnership agreement with the University of Strasbourg, which has over 40,000 students and employs more than 5,000 people on its 4 campuses. As 20% of the university’s students are from abroad, it is -after Paris-the most international university in France. Many of the university’s former students are now prestigious personalities, including 17 Nobel Prize winners. 

Cultural activities & sport

A range of student bodies and associations are involved in welcoming the new students and helping them to settle in, and many activities are available. The city has a broad cultural programme (over 9,000 events a year). 

Strasbourg provides access to other European metropolises through TGV (high-speed rail) links (Paris and Lyon); its international airport has over 200 direct destinations and other international flights via 3 hubs that are accessible within 2 hours (Frankfurt, Zurich, and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport). Or perhaps you might decide to hike along the paths of the Vosges or the Black Forest, which is one hour's drive away !
