On May 12^th, 2016, Prof. LI Zhenyu, the Dean of CAUP; Prof. LI Xiangning, the deputy dean of CAUP, Prof. WANG Lan, the Dean Assistant; Prof. YANG Guiqing, the Head of Urban Planning Department; Prof. ZHUO Jian, the deputy head of Urban Planning Department and Prof. HAN Feng, the head of Landscaping Department met with Prof. Penny Gurstein, the Director of SCARP, Associate Prof. Matino Tran and Associate Prof. Maged Senbel from the School of Community and Regional Planning, University of British Columbia in Canada. The two institutions successfully signed a statement of corporation which remains in force for a period of five years from the date of the last signature.

Prof. Gurstein introduced the school structures, current status and the research characteristics of their school while expecting to establish a long term relationship with CAUP in all the possible academic fields. Prof. LI Zhenyu and Prof. YANG Guiqing also made detail introduction of CAUP including the research characteristics and the future plans of Architecture and Urban Planning department. The topic then focused on the academic collaboration in community and regional planning field. It was agreed that an MOA shall be signed later to set all corporation details. After the signing ceremony, Prof. Han Feng also gave a brief introduction of our landscaping department.
