2015 "Ablues Design" Corrugated Cardboard Design and Construction Competition 

For the purpose of inspiring young students’ creative potential, and to discover and foster design talents of imagination and innovative spirit, the 2015 Tongji International Construction Festival & 2015 “Ablues Design” Corrugated Cardboard Design and Construction Competition was successfully held at the college square by the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP) on June 6th, 2015.

 This year’s participants consist of CAUP freshman, majoring in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Landscape Studies, totally 12 classes divided into 34 teams; freshmen from the College of Civil Engineering, College of Design and Innovation of Tongji, etc.; 15 freshmen teams from Chinese Architecture schools; 8 international teams from Architecture Schools. Around 60 cardboard buildings were constructed in total.

The Jury Committee consisted of three parts: Jury Co-Chairs, final Jury Members and Preliminary Jury Members.

The Review Committee is consisted of two rounds, Preliminary stage: Each Preliminary Jury Member will recommend 10 teams. Cumulate votes, 33 teams will be the finalists. Final stage: The Final Jury members will use the methods of multi-round knockout/elimination and comprehensive evaluation, 21 teams will be chosen and win the 1st and 2nd and 3rd prizes
