On July 1, 2025, a delegation led by Mr. Trần Ngọc Chính, President of the Vietnam Urban Planning Development Association (VUPDA), visited CAUP, Tongji University.

After brief introductions from both sides, Associate Dean Philip F. Yuan delivered a welcome speech, highlighting the College’s strengths in academic disciplines, research resources, and international cooperation, and extended an invitation for academic exchanges. WANG Yi, Head of the Department of Architecture, introduced the architecture education system. Deputy Dean LIU Kan presented an overview of the department’s international exchange programs and foreign collaboration initiatives.

Representatives from the Vietnamese delegation, including Mr. Trần Ngọc Chính, Dr. Nguyễn Tuấn Anh, Dr. Cao Sỹ Niêm from the National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning, and Mr. Đoàn Đức Phi from Vietnam Construction Consultant Corporation (VNCC), shared insights into their respective institutions.

In his closing remarks, Chairman of College Council WANG Zhendong recalled the historical ties between CAUP and Hanoi Architectural University, and expressed hope for further collaboration with VUPDA and Vietnamese architectural institutions.

The visit concluded with a group photo and an exchange of commemorative gifts, marking the successful end of the meeting.
