On October 18, 2024, 18 representatives from 11 German universities of applied sciences visited CAUP, including Professor Anja Dieckmann, Vice President of the Aalen University of Applied Sciences, Professor Ruth Fleuchaus, Vice President of the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, Dr. Ingrid Thaler, Head of the International Office of the South Westfalia University of Applied Sciences, Katrin Heymann, Head of the International Office of the Bochum University of Applied Sciences, Christopher Muehlberg, Head of the International Office of the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg etc.

The visit started with a warm welcome from Wei Li, Head of the International Office of CAUP, who introduced the college and emphasized its collaboration with German partners. The delegation then visited the Academic Innovation Bases accompanied by Yong Yu, Executive Deputy Director of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Architecture, Urban Planning Landscape Architecture Education. Yong Yu showcased the artistic works created by students during their training courses, highlighting those blending traditional Chinese crafts, such as brick carving, wood carving, ceramic painting, tie-dyeing and paper-cutting, with architectural designs. The delegation members, deeply impressed, expressed the interest in sending their students to Tongji University for further study. Both sides looked forward to strengthening exchanges between Chinese and German universities in the future.
