Tongji University Hosts Specialized Training Program for Leading Cadres from Hanoi, Vietnam

A specialized training program for leading cadres from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, organized by the Leadership Training Center Of Urban-Rural Development of Tongji University, recently commenced. Lyu Peiming, Executive Vice President of Tongji University, Ho Vinh Thanh, Chief Inspector of the Inspectorate Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Hanoi, Liu Song, Chairman of Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. Council, and Pham Van Bo, Vice President of the Vietnam Institute of Construction and Management, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

The theme of this five-day training program is Learning from China's Experience in National Governance, Planning and Management Practices, and the Development of Contemporary Green and Smart Cities. Twenty-two cadres from various departments within Hanoi's construction system, including the Hanoi People's Committee's Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Hanoi Department of Transportation's Transportation Construction Quality Management Division, the Hanoi People's Committee's Urban Department, the Hanoi Department of Construction, and the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Office, participated in the training.

The Urban Construction Cadre Training Center of Tongji University arranged a comprehensive curriculum focusing on urban renewal, infrastructure planning, Shanghai's urban planning and management, green and intelligent planning, and digital economy development. Twelve experts, including Academician Wu Zhiqiang, Professor Zhang Shangwu, Professor Zhao Min, and representatives from the Shanghai Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal Greening and City Appearance Administrative Bureau, were invited to teach the courses.

At the closing ceremony, representatives from the Leadership Training Center Of Urban-Rural Development of Tongji University, the Inspectorate Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Hanoi, the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, and the Vietnam Institute of Construction and Management awarded certificates of completion to the participants.
