Manuela Lucá-Dazio
Executive Director, The Pritzker Architecture Prize
Manuela Lucá-Dazio holds a degree in architecture from the University of Naples, Italy, and a doctorate in architectural history from the University of Rome-Chieti, ltaly. Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, Advisor to the Arle Luma Foundation and the Venice Biennale, ltaly. Her lecture will focus on the Architecture Biennale since its beginnings in 1975 until now, as the joint result of the cultural strategies of the Biennale as an institution and the vision of the Curators. This history is closely intertwined with that of the Visual Arts Biennale from which it generates in the 70s.
