On March 4th, 2019, Prof. Frederick Steiner, Dean and Paley Professor of Stuart Weitzman School of Design at University of Pennsylvania, visited the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University. Prof. Steiner and his colleagues first of all visited Prof. WU Jiang, the executive President of Tongji University. And then the delegation had a meeting at CAUP C1 meeting room, welcomed by Prof. Li Zhenyu, Dean of CAUP, Prof. Li Xiangning, Deputy Dean of CAUP, Prof. Cai Yongjie, Head of the Department of Architecture, Prof. Han Feng, Head of the Department of Landscape Architecture, Prof. Tong Ming from Urban Planning Department, and Ms. Li Wei, Director of CAUP International Office.

Dean Li Zhenyu expressed his warm welcome to Prof. Steiner and his colleagues. He introducesd international education characteristics of CAUP and main academic and research activities to the guests. He also hopes that both parties will strengthen exchanges and cooperation prior to the long relationship in the history. Dean Steiner introduced the PennDesign school with a precise presentation, and expresses his broad prospects for future cooperation.

After the meeting, Prof. Steiner gave a public lecture entitled "Ecology and Design"in the Bell Hall auditorium, followed with a panel discussion with Prof. Li Xiangning, Prof. Tong Ming and Prof. Tan Zheng.
