Architectural Intelligent Design and Fabrication

Philip F. Yuan is Dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University. He has been honored with both the Ministry of Education's Chang Jiang Chair Professorship and the Shanghai Eastern Talent Program's Leading Talent award. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Architectural Intelligence, Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), and council member of the UIA-PPC. He has been a visiting professor at MIT and RMIT, and Thomas Jefferson Chair Professor at UVA.

Philip.F Yuan research mainly focuses on the field of performance-based tectonics in architecture as well as robotic fabrication and is able to realize many of his research theories in architectural practices. He is the chair professor of Architectural Intelligent Design and Fabrication.
