Founders of SO–IL

Liu, a native of Nanjing, PRC, and Idenburg, from the Netherlands, founded their practice in 2008, with the belief that architecture is at its best when it can be bodily experienced. Over the course of their career, they have developed a strong body of work that helps us realize our own relationship with the world, the environment, and others around us. In a time of intense digitization, Liu and Idenburg do not shy away from the latest technologies but apply them to create powerful experiences in real life.
