Benjamin Mouton is one of the few Americans to have graduated in architecture from the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris.

Today as one of the 44 Architects en Chef des Monuments Historiques of France, Benjamin Mouton is in charge of some of the most prestigious landmarked monuments belonging to a wide spectrum of construction years:  12th century, the Basilique Saint Denis; 18th, Hotel des Invalides; 19th the bridge on the Seine Alexander III; 17th to the 20th The Ecole des Beaux Arts; 1922, Auguste Perret’s  Raincy Church.

Inspecteur General des Monuments Historiques, Benjamin supervises the work of the Architects en Chef des Monuments Historiques. Specifically, Paris and the Loire Valley are under his supervision.

Benjamin teaches at the Ecole de Chaillot the famous graduate school specialized in the formation of the Architectes du Patrimoine. There he is co-director for studies.

Active on the international field, teaching in Tunis, Bucharest, Shangaï.... acting as expert on numerous missions, including UNESCO, he lectures widely, writes, publishes.

Benjamin Mouton has been honored with the French Natonal Order of the Legion of Honor, with the French National Order des Arts et des Lettres
