From November 13th to 15th, 52 students from CAUP, Tongji University, led by Prof. YIN Jia, came to Yixing for a three-day field trip, to experience the Chinese pottery culture. This trip is part of the English course “Art Pottery”. This course has been carried out for 7 years since 2009; every year there will be among 20 international students (including the dual degree students) taking the course.

Through this field trip, students visited the pottery manor of the craft master Xu Xiutang, the production line of the Mao-tai Wine bottle and the international modern pot art museum. They also came to the Tian Shen pottery workshop to make their own version of the tea pots.

In the afternoon of November 15th, the workshop was coming to a successful end. All the students’ work will be saved and displayed by the Tian Shen pottery workshop.
