22nd May to 25th May 2015, Prof. Richard de Dear, The head of the Architecture department from University of Sidney paid a 4-day visit to CAUP, accompanied by Prof. Song Dexuan and his team.

Prof. Richard de Dear is the head of the Architecture department from University of Sidney. Over the last 31 years, Professor Richard de Dear has built a career in the area of human thermal comfort. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and a dozen books and monographs on the subject.

In the morning of 22nd May 2015, Prof. Song Dexuan showed Prof. Richard the 3D printing lab, 5-axis CNC machining centers, "cloud" computing platform, innovation basement, etc. Staff from CAUP introduced the labs to Prof. Richard. They also exchange opinions on the future development of laboratory.

In the afternoon of 22nd May, Prof. Richard held a seminar with the professors and students from CAUP. He made a report on Thermal Counterpoint in Architect (a Psychophysiological explanation of heschong's thermal delight). After the report, Professors and students had a discussion on their own research field.

During his visit, Dean Prof. Li zhenyu, Prof Song Dexuan and Prof. Richard had a meeting. Dean Prof. Li zhenyu introduced CAUP to Prof. Richard, including the development and international collaboration. B0oth sides expressed the desire to cooperate in the field of student cultivation and Interior environment.
