Dec 27th to 28th, UNSW-TONGJI International Class took a field trip to to Hangzhou. During two days of trip, the team visited China Academy of Art (CAA), Xiangshan Campus, Bauhaus museum, CAA Nanshan Campus, Nansong Yu Jie (Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, Hefang Street, and West Lake. The task is to draw 4 sketches of the CAA buildings, building façade in Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street. This trip is a part of design studio course and organized by Prof. Zhang Jianlong and Prof. Cen Wei to help build the students’ basic urban spatial cognition, open students’ mind torwards modern architectural design and inspire them with different architectural styles, combination of ancient and modern, Chinese and Western.
