Tongji University's college campus kicked off the spring semester 2025 with a warm welcome to 26 international exchange students from 11 countries and regions, including Canada, Germany, and Belgium, among others. Over two weeks, from Feb. 20 to March 7, these students smoothly completed their registration procedures.
The CAUP's International cooperation Office collaborated seamlessly to streamline the registration process, breaking it down into manageable steps such as student registration, residence permit application, insurance payment, account activation, and course selection. Personalised guidance was provided for each student based on their academic plans, with close communication maintained with their home institutions to resolve issues like credit recognition.
On March 4, an orientation session was held for the new exchange students. Wang Zijing, the exchange program coordinator, introduced information related to the campus life, addressing queries from students. Xu Erfeng, the administrator of teaching affairs, elaborated on academic management, while Liu Shuxin emphasised safety tips for students.
A campus tour was organised, starting from CAUP. The tour covered design studios, Bell hall, the library, an exhibition spaces, along with introductions to sports facilities and parcel services.
Through these well-organised activities, The international cooperation office has ensured a smooth transition for the international exchange students, helping them integrate into the Tongji and enjoy their study abroad experience.
