Cristiana MAZZONI is a Professor at the National School of Architecture Paris-Belleville (ENSAPB) and head of the IPRAUS Laboratory. She has held visiting professorships at several institutions in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the United States. From 2009 to 2016, she was a professor at the National School of Architecture in Strasbourg (ENSAS), where she led the City and Territory discipline and directed the AMUP Laboratory. Her research is situated at the intersection of architecture and urban planning, striving to break disciplinary boundaries and promote cross-scale, interdisciplinary connections, and interactions. 

 

Since 2003, Prof. Cristiana MAZZONI has led multiple research projects under the French Ministry of Environment and Energy and the French Ministry of Culture. Her expertise includes: 

- Urban development and regional planning, innovative integrated transport, rail infrastructure, and urban public spaces. 

- The heritage of courtyard housing in European cities. 

- Twentieth-century European architecture and urban research theories. 


                Tribute to Jean-François JANIN


During the event, experts will also pay tribute to Jean-François JANIN, former head of the Intelligent Transport Unit of the French Ministry of Transport and lifetime honorary chairman of the International Symposium on Sustainable Urban Transport Systems (THNS Forum), who passed away in February 2025. They will reflect on his contributions to Sino-French cooperation in intelligent urban transport.
