Jenchieh Hung and Kulthida Songkittipakdee, the founders and acclaimed architects of HAS Design and Research, as well as visiting professors at Tongji University’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP), have received the prestigious 2025 Créateurs Design Award for Best Commercial and Cultural Project in Interior Design in Paris, France. The award was presented for their Simple Art Museum project by Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS Design and Research.
Yuri Xavier, co-founder of the Créateurs Design Awards, praised the project for redefining space as an immersive narrative that blends heritage craftsmanship with innovation. The Créateurs Design Awards for Best Commercial and Cultural Project in Interior Design recognizes how the duo transforms traditional crafts into tactile experiences and reimagines historical design traditions into fluid, contemporary forms—connecting the past with the present. HAS Design and Research’s Simple Art Museum is not just an interior; it is a cultural expression, shaping how we engage with history, community, and ourselves.
The 2025 Créateurs Design Awards also go to globally renowned architects, such as the British architectural firm Norman Foster / Foster + Partners, which has received the Créateurs Design Award – Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Japanese architectural firm Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / SANAA, which has received the Créateurs Design Award – Le Prix Charlotte Perriand, as well as the Thai architectural firm Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS Design and Research, which has received the Créateurs Design Award – Best Commercial and Cultural Project in Interior Design.
