On March 22, 2024, Björn Berggren, Dean of the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, and Karin Edvardsson Björnberg, Vice Dean, visited CAUP. Vice Dean of CAUP, Philip F. Yuan, Director of the International Cooperation Department LIU Kan, Director of the Center for Urban Science and Planning SHEN Yao, Head of International Relations of Department of Landscape Architecture CHEN Zheng, and Exchange Program Coordinator LIU Shuxin attended the welcome meeting.

Vice Dean Philip F. Yuan extended a warm welcome to Dean Björn Berggren and his delegation. Both sides introduced their respective colleges and expressed a unanimous commitment to focusing on sustainable development and cultivating students with global competitiveness. They also pledged to further solidify student exchange programs and expand more academic research collaborations and exchange activities.

Subsequently, WU Zhiqiang, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, briefed the guests on the Wenyuan Building, the Key Laboratory of Ecology and Energy Saving Study of Dense Habitat, Ministry of Education, and the Laboratory Center for Smart City etc.
