DigitalFUTURES2021 Announcement
关于 “数字未来”
“数字未来”（DigitalFUTURES）自2011年以来，由同济大学建筑与城市规划学院（CAUP）与上海建筑数字建造工程技术研究中心（SFAB）发起，联合全球多所高校、事务所、研究机构的学者共同组织，形成了线上、线下一体化的教育平台。活动涵盖讲座、会议、工作坊和展览等。如今，DigitalFUTURES已经扩展成为一个全球性建筑知识交流共同体，鼓励全球建筑知识的传承与创新、合作与交流，重点关注数字化设计理论、技术以及人工智能算法、机器人建造等在建成环境领域的科学研究。

DigitalFUTURES 2021:
InclusiveFUTURES
InclusiveFUTURES作为全球线上、线下一体化的免费学术活动，将汇集全球最优秀的建筑师和教育工作者，举办覆盖五大洲的共享教育盛会。
去年，DigitalFUTURES World打破了实体空间的藩篱，开辟了一个不同以往的全新教育领域。在这个领域里，知识与技术可以免费传播给全球各地的学生，即使是那些世界最贫困的地域。今年，我们希望将这一理念进一步推进。我们坚信，教育应该是一种普世的人权，而不是极少数者的特权。
InclusiveFUTURES 将包括一系列免费工作营、国际会议、展览和国际博士生课程。

InclusiveFUTURES, is an entirely free festival that will bring together some of the most talented architects and educators around the world for the largest ever celebration of computation and architectural design.
Last year DigitalFUTURES World broke through the walls of the classroom, and opened up an extraordinary new domain where educational ideas could be disseminated for free to students even in the most economically underprivileged parts of the world. This year we want to push these ideas even further. Education, we believe, should be understood as a universal human right, and not as the privilege of the few.
InclusiveFUTURES will consist of a series of workshops, conference, exhibition and doctoral seminars.

工作营
InclusiveFUTURES全球工作营囊括数字设计的各个方面。学生可以通过Zoom参与，也可以通过直播参与。此外，InclusiveFUTURES还包括一些线上线下混合研讨会，混合研讨会将包括线上线下（上海）同步的授课，最终建造在上海进行。世界上许多著名的建筑学院都将参与其中，包括UCL Bartlett、AA、苏黎世联邦理工学院、ICD Stuttgart、IaaC、SCI-ARC、RMIT、同济、清华、东南、弗吉尼亚和FIU，以及扎哈-哈迪德建筑师事务所等领先的实践机构。

InclusiveFUTURES Workshops
These will consist of online workshops addressing all aspects of the digital. Students can either participate via Zoom, or follow via live-stream. There will also be a few hybrid workshops taking place online, but with fabrication taking place in Shanghai. Many of the leading schools of architecture in the world will take part, including UCL Bartlett, AA, ETH Zürich, ICD Stuttgart, IaaC, SCI-Arc, RMIT, Tongji, Tsinghua, Southeast, Virginia and FIU, together with leading practices, such as Zaha Hadid Architects.

研究方向
“数字未来”国际博士生项目聚焦建筑学在数字化变革中的诸多发展，涵盖从数字化建筑设计与建造到空间性能化模拟与可视化研究的各个层面。研究方向包括：数字建构理论、人工智能辅助建筑设计与建造、性能化设计、机器人建造等。
要求
本项目招收的国际博士研究生，授课语言为英语。博士生学习期间须参与课程学习以获得所需学分，并在导师的指导下参加必修环节的考核并完成博士论文写作。申请人应持有非中国护照，从认可机构获得硕士学位或认可的同等学历，并至少发表两篇学术论文。同时，团队要求报考的博士生科研态度端正、坚守学术精神和有一定的学术积累，入学后能够全职在研。团队会考虑个人学术背景及能力综合选拔。具体要求见：

Research Direction
The DigitalFuture international PhD program focuses on the developments in the digital transformation of architecture, ranging from digital building design and construction to the simulation and visualization of spatial performance. Research interests include digital construction theory, artificial intelligence-assisted architecture and construction, performance design, and robotic construction.
Requirements
All teaching and written submissions will be in English. Students are required to attend a series of intensive courses, and pass all progress reviews and complete their research independently under the guidance of their supervisors. Applicants should hold a non-Chinese passport, a master's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution, and at least two academic publications.
The team requires PhD students to have a positive attitude towards research, strong academic spirit and certain academic accumulation, and to be able to work full-time in research after admission. The team will consider individual academic background and ability for comprehensive selection. For more information, please see:
