In several areas, the sustainability of Sino-African cooperation is difficult to assess at this early growth stage. Professional dialogue in South-South networks may help to trigger new and more sustainable modes of cooperation. In order to advance cooperation amongst Chinese, German and African professionals in the field of urban development, the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) commissioned the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH to support a trilateral dialogue process.
