一、会议宗旨
挑战与机遇——探索网络时代的建筑历史教学之路
建筑历史作为人类聚居环境营造及变迁的知识体系,是建筑学的学科分支之一,建筑历史教学历来是建筑学专业基础教育的重要组成部分。在全球化的网络时代,知识生产、传播和交流的方式正在发生质的改变,各学科领域传授知识的内容和形式都面临着前所未有的巨大挑战,建筑历史教学由于跨学科范畴的特点而首当其冲。在这样的时代背景下,如何化挑战为机遇,在已有建筑历史成熟教学体系的基础上拓展和深化,探索课程教学的新理念、新思路和新方法,以适应未来高端专业人才培养的新需求,已成为我国高校建筑学教育不可忽视的一个重要方面。本次教学研讨会的出发点和宗旨即在于此。

本次会议由全国建筑学专业指导委员会主办,同济大学建筑与城市规划学院承办,拟于2015年5月下旬在同济大学召开。除特邀嘉宾外,将邀请部分全国建筑院系的建筑历史与理论教学团队1-2名一线授课教师参加。会上还将举行全国建筑学专业指导委员会建筑历史与理论分委员会的成立仪式。
二、会议规模、时间与地点
规模:每所学校1-2人,共计80-100人;
时间:2015年5月22日—24日(周五报到;周六、周日开会);
地点:同济大学建筑与城市规划学院。
场次:主会场和分会场发言和研讨暂定为各两场次,另将安排晚间专题讲座。

组委会以上届会议参会名单为参照发出邀函和各轮通知,同时欢迎其他建筑院系浏览同济大学CAUP网页组委会通知后指派代表报名参加。
4、会议费用
大会将向每位参会者收取注册费1000元整,包括会议论文集、餐费等,住宿费和交通费自理。主旨发言嘉宾、主持嘉宾免收会务费。
四、论文和展览组织
1、会议筹备组将针对参会者提交的论文进行评审遴选和编辑印刷,形成会议论文集;
2、会议还将组织建筑史教学展,将邀请参会院校提交展板。

2015 International Symposium on Architectural History Education
1. Symposium Theme – Teaching Architectural History in the Internet Era: Challenges and Opportunities
History of Architecture is an interdisciplinary knowledge system focusing on the process of formation and transformation of the human settlements. It is a vital branch of the architectural learning and its essential educational aspect of that. However, due to the fundamental changes occurring in knowledge production and communication in the internet era, what to teach and how to teach are confronting with unprecedented challenges for the education of architectural history. Meanwhile it also brings forth the possibilities of new ideas and ways for optimizing the existing pedagogy and benchmark of architectural history education, and to satisfy the needs of high-quality architectural education for the future. This symposium thus is aiming at facilitating debate and discussion on the following three sub-themes.
· Internet and the Teaching of Architectural History
· Innovation in the Teaching of Architectural History
· The Teaching of Architectural History and Design Studio
The symposium will be hosted by the National Steering Committee for Architectural Education and organized by the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University. It will be held on May 22-24, 2015 at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. In addition to distinguished guests from both domestic and abroad, architecture schools from all over the nation are invited to recommend 1-2 academics who are teaching architectural history courses to attend the symposium. Inaugural ceremony of the Architectural History and Theory Sub-Committee of the National Steering Committee for Architectural Education will be held in the symposium.

3.3 Participants
The symposium participants will include invited guests and teacher representatives designated by their by schools. There will be two main sessions and two parallel paper sessions. Public lectures at night will be given by leading architectural scholars from both home and abroad.
3.4 Invitations
The organizer will send out invitations to architecture schools, with each school having 1-2 representatives (invitations for representatives of journals, magazines, and publishers will be sent separately).
3.5 Registration Fee
Registration fee RMB1000 will be charged to each participant, including conference proceedings, meals, etc. Transportation and accommodation is not included. Registration fee will be waived for keynote speakers and session moderators.
4. Paper and Exhibition
4.1 The organizing committee will organize the curating, reviewing, editing, and printing of the symposium proceedings.
4.2 An exhibition of the architectural history education will be held during the symposium. The attendees will be asked to prepare panels for the exhibition.
