9月17日,香港理工大学教授、SCI期刊Energy and Buildings主编牛建磊将来到同济大学建筑与城市规划学院D2报告厅,带来一场精彩的学术活动。
“作为一种环境,城市更多地掌握在我们的手中”。在这场讲座中,牛建磊教授以“城市户外热环境”为主题题,将与12位到场嘉宾共同探讨以城市气候为导向的建筑性能化设计范式。

内容简介
城市热岛效应可能迫使人们更长时间地待在室内,这也促使城市规划者和房地产开发商提供更多的空调室内设施。一个鼓励户外活动的城市对可持续性发展和城市宜居性都有好处,而为了达到这一目标,户外和半室外的热舒适性变得越来越重要。
得益于不断增长的计算机能力和物理建模的进步,计算机仿真使得未来场景的虚拟现实分析成为了一个强大的研究工具。新的建筑结构特点也允许创新和考虑成本效益的建设形式。
其中一个特点是“架空”的设计理念,即利用现代结构柱将建筑从地面/人行楼层“架空”,提供一个完全或部分开放的一楼,为人行楼层提供更开放的户外空间和“自由”气流。
另一种则是将孔隙度战略性地引入高密度城市。这需要整合现有的气流和热分析模型,并开发新的模型来定量评估行人风和热舒适方面创新特性所带来的改善。本次研讨会,将结合牛建磊教授最新的成果进行专题探讨。
Urban heat islands phenomena may force people to stay longer indoors, encourages city planners and property developers to provide more air-conditioned indoor facilities. A city that encourages outdoor activities has benefits to both sustainability and liveability, and to this aim, the thermal comfort in outdoor and semi-outdoor places is becoming more and more important. Computer simulation analyses have benefited from the ever growing computer power, whichcoupled with advances in physical modeling, makes virtual reality analysis of future scenarios a powerful research tool. New structural features also allow innovative and cost effectiveness building forms. One such feature is the “lift up” design concept, by which a building is “lifted” off the ground/pedestrian level using modern structural pillars, offering a fully or partially open ground floor which provides clearance at pedestrian levels with more open outdoor space and “free” airflows. Another possibility is the strategic introduction of porosity into high density cities. There is a need to integrate existing airflow and thermal analysis modeling, and develop new models for quantitative assessment of the improvements resulted from these innovative features both in pedestrian wind and thermal comfort. In this forum, Professor Niu will present his research outcomes with guests.

牛建磊
现任香港理工大学讲座教授 / 学术委员会成员
香港特区政府研究资助局(RGC)项目评审专家
国际期刊《能源与建筑 Energy and Buildings》主编
牛教授本科及硕士分别毕业于清华大学暖通工程系及热能工程系,并于荷兰代尔夫理工大学取得博士学位。他的研究领域为建筑室内空气品质、建筑能源利用以及城市微环境与热舒适。牛教授多次获香港RGC、ITF和RFCID/HMRF等研究资助,目前共发表论文300多篇,成功指导20余位毕业博士和博士后。他还任多家知名行业协会的会士,如美国ASHRAE、英国CIBSE、香港HKIE、IBPSA及ISIAQ。此外,他还获得过由ASHRAE 颁发的Distinguished Lecturer 2009-2013及澳洲悉尼大学荣誉教授等称号。
His research interests are computational fluid dynamics, numerical heat and mass transfer and energy system modeling, aiming at solving real-world problems in indoor air quality and infection control in built environments, building energy use, and more recently in urban thermal comfort. He has won an impressive number of competitive grants from RGC, ITF, and RFCID/HMRF. He has produced around 300 publications, and successfully supervised over 20 PhD students and post-doctoral fellows. He receives numerous awards, and was conferred fellowship from ASHRAE(American society of heating, refrigerating, and air-conditioning engineers), CIBSE, HKIE, IBPSA and ISIAQ, and he was awarded ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer 2009-2013. He is awarded an Honorary Professor by The University of Sydney, Australia. He serves as members of University Research Committee and Senate. He has served as an Engineering Panel member, RGC, Hong Kong SAR, He is now an editor-in-chief of Elsevier journal Energy and Buildings.
