DigitalFUTURES

  “数字未来”（DigitalFUTURES）自2011年以来，由同济大学建筑与城市规划学院（CAUP）与上海建筑数字建造工程技术研究中心（SFAB）发起，联合全球多所高校、事务所、研究机构的学者共同组织，形成了线上、线下一体化的教育平台。活动涵盖讲座、会议、工作坊和展览等。如今，DigitalFUTURES已经扩展成为一个全球性建筑知识交流共同体，以www.digitalfutures.world为平台，鼓励全球建筑知识的传承与创新、合作与交流，重点关注数字化设计理论、技术以及人工智能算法、机器人建造等在建成环境领域的科学研究。

  2021年是DigitalFUTURES年度系列活动的第11年，揭开了其第二个十年周期的序幕。在同济大学的持续支持下，DigitalFUTURES 2021以InclusiveFUTURES（包容性未来）作为主题，将在暑期举办一场公益的全球知识共享盛会。活动在全球五大洲、10个地区组成有史以来最大规模的建筑师、设计师、教育家、以及学者社群，向世界各个地区的参与者提供免费的工作营教学、讲座、展览、出版等形式的知识。过去的十余年间，我们已经见证了数字未来通过共享教育为全世界学生的职业发展带来的积极改变，我们希望通过此次活动将我们的视野范围进一步扩大，以帮助更多边缘化地区的学生。

  以共享教育作为共同目标，我们已经获得了学术界、行业内大批院校、机构以及个人的支持。暑期活动邀请到来自全球五大洲的众多院校合作伙伴，如AA、UCL Bartlett、ETH Zürich、ICD Stuttgart、IaaC、TU Delft、CITA、TU Munich、Aarhus、Innsbruck、Strelka、AUCairo、RMIT、Swinburne、同济大学、清华大学、东南大学、SUTD、UBA、UIC、Di Tella、La Plata、UdChile、SCI-Arc、MIT、Harvard、UPenn、Virginia、Michigan、NYIT、Clemson、UCSB、CSULB、FIU和FAU，以及Zaha Hadid Architects、Xkool等事务所和企业，组成了跨越三个时区的超过100组工作营矩阵。

  暑期工作营将采取线上、线下相结合的形式（2021年6月26日至7月3日），教学时长从10小时到一整个星期不等。学生们可以通过在线会议室（Zoom/Tencent Meeting）参与、亲历现场设计搭建、或通过直播关注。

注册账号

前往www.digitalfutures.world网站，注册DF学员账号（请使用真实邮箱与姓名，便于导师联系，以及制作结业证书）

完善个人信息

登陆学员账号，在“My Information”页面中完善个人信息（履历、技能、3张代表作品图片等）

报名工作营

在账号登陆的状态下，前往“Workshops”页面，在每组工作营的详情页面中点击“Apply”按钮进行报名（每位学员最多填报3个平行志愿）

查看录取状态

在账号登陆的状态下，前往“My page > My workshops”页面，查看报名记录，并随时关注录取状态变化（录取过程采用盲审形式）

确认录取结果

录取状态（Accepted或者Waiting list）公布后，学员须在6月9日之前，在三个录取结果中选择其一进行确认（意味着同时放弃另外两个结果）

营前参与准备

对于选择确认“Accepted”录取结果的学员，耐心等待导师通过邮箱联系，开始营前准备工作；对于选择确认“Waiting list”录取结果的学员，可继续关注该志愿的最终录取状态（Accepted或者Rejected），导师有一定几率会从待定名单中补录学员

对于最终未被录取的学员，仍可关注每组工作营详情页面，点击“Watch livestream”按钮观看工作营的部分教学直播

Topic Announcement

  InclusiveFUTURES the theme to this year's DigitalFUTURES Summer Festival, an entirely free online festival of events, between 12 June- 4 July, consisting of Free Workshops, Digital Consortium of lectures, Conference, Keynote talks, and Awards.

  DigitalFUTURES advocates for education as a human right, by appealing to the generosity of each instructor in donating their time. The planning of InclusiveFUTURES will generate more opportunities for access, equity, and spread of architectural knowledge.

  DigitalFUTURES continues with a singular purpose of positively striving for global change with young architects leading the way. As an organization DigitalFUTURES has witnessed for over a decade those students and young professionals in need in all corners of the globe. The gratitude that has been experienced and shared with the entire community is what DigitalFUTURES continues to build upon.

  Now more than ever, the opportunity to share time together will change during our post pandemic transition, but remaking our world with inspired new voices is the promise DigitalFUTURES aspires to. InclusiveFUTURES is the chance to reimagine the world together respecting every moment donated for the betterment of all.

InclusiveFUTURES Workshops

  InclusiveFUTURES brings together a new generation of talented architects and educators from around the world. This year's series of events will feature over 100 workshops operating in more than 10 different languages.

  The InclusiveFUTURES workshops will kick off with the Opening Ceremony of 26 June 2021, and end with the Closing Ceremony on 3 July 2021. Both ceremonies will include a number of keynote lectures and discussions by world leading figures. This year InclusiveFUTURES will feature many awards for innovation including two new awards, for theory and for a female designer.

  The workshops will vary from anywhere from 10 hours to an entire week. They will be hosted online using Zoom. Some will be live-streamed on YouTube and Bilibili. However, there will also be a few hybrid workshops with fabrication taking place in China and Egypt. All of the work produced during the workshops will result in a physical and digital exhibitions.

Register a DigitalFUTURES account 

Go to www.digitalfutures.world and click the Sign in button at the top-right corner.

On the Sign in page, click the “Register” button at the bottom-right corner. 

Register as workshop participants. (please use your valid email address and name. The name will be displayed on your certificate of completion.)

Upload personal information

Sign in to your account.

On “My page”, click the square button of “My information”.

Complete the personal information form. (resume, bio, 3 image samples of your representative work, etc.)

Apply workshops

With the account signed in, go to the Workshops page from either the “Events” menu or the home page.

On the “Workshops” page, click any workshop to go to its details page.

Click the Apply button at the top-right corner of the details page. (Each participant can only apply 3 workshops maximally. Applications CAN NOT be changed once being made.)

Check application status

Go back to “My page”, click the square button of “My workshops” to view your applied workshops.

Keep checking the application status during the blind review.

Confirm application result

After the application results (either “Accepted” or “Waiting list”) are announced, you will be requested to confirm one of your three results by June 9 (This means that you are willingly to abandon the other two results.)

Preparation before participation

If you confirm to stay in a Waiting list, you need to keep checking the final application result of the workshop (either “Accepted” or “Rejected”). There will be a certain chance that the instructor will accept a few students from the waiting list.
